It looks as if the transfer of Theo Walcott to Everton from Arsenal is as good as done, with the Liverpool Echo reporting the £20m switch will be finalised today (January 17).
This will come as a blow to Southampton, who as the Sun reports were interested in bringing Walcott back to St Mary’s 12 years after selling their academy product to the Gunners.

It means that manager Mauricio Pellegrino will have to look elsewhere if he wants recruitment out wide, which is why the Argentine should perhaps consider Middlesbrough winger Adama Traore.
According to the Northern Echo, West Ham United have shown willingness that they want to sign Traore during the current January transfer window.

Despite indifferent form since arriving in England from Barcelona in 2015, first playing for Aston Villa and now Boro, the 21-year-old is very well regarded at the Riverside stadium and previously attracted interest from Chelsea in the summer – who were put off by his £15m valuation.
If the Saints could land Traore for a similar price, should they be ready to compete with West Ham for the former Barca man now that the Walcott deal has bypassed them?
