West Ham United are now chasing Manchester City talent Cole Palmer as part of a deal for midfielder Lucas Paqueta.
Cole Palmer is becoming a key West Ham United target as Manchester City target a deal for Lucas Paqueta.
That is according to the London Evening Standard, who claim that West Ham are interested in signing Palmer.
The Hammers would happily take Paqueta on loan or permanently as the two clubs discuss a deal for Lucas Paqueta.
City want to bring Paqueta to the Etihad Stadium and are targeting a £60million deal for the Brazilian.
West Ham are demanding around £85million for Paqueta though, a price City may not be willing to pay.
Palmer is now coming up in talks as the two sides attempt to thrash out an agreement for Paqueta’s move.
City selling Palmer seems unlikely but West Ham are seemingly hoping that they want Paqueta so much that they are willing to sacrifice the youngster.

Who is West Ham United target Cole Palmer?
Palmer hails from Wythenshawe in Greater Manchester and joined the City ranks at the age of just eight.
Palmer has come all the way up through the City ranks and was given a first-team debut at just 18 back in 2020.
Now 21, Palmer has turned out 39 times for City and scored five times, including the opener in Sunday’s Community Shield clash with Arsenal.

Palmer has been hailed as ‘special’ in the final third by Pep Guardiola, but first-team starts are hard to come by at City.
Phil Foden isn’t even guaranteed a start at City, so it’s of course hard for Palmer to get into the side.
Maybe the departure of Riyad Mahrez can aid Palmer’s cause as a right-sided winger who cuts in on his left foot.
West Ham are at least going to try, seemingly with the idea of playing Jarrod Bowen up front and utilising Palmer on the right flank.
