Joao Mario has been offered to both Manchester United and Valencia, according to reports in Italy, with talks with West Ham United to continue once the club have appointed their new manager.

Mario, 25, joined West Ham United on loan until the end of the season during the January transfer window, helping the Hammers stave off relegation from the Premier League. Recent reports from Calciomercato claimed that while West Ham are eager to bring the Portugal international to east London on a permanent basis, they are not prepared to meet Inter Milan’s €30million valuation.

That report claimed further talks would take place between Inter and West Ham but in the meantime, it would appear Mario’s agent Kia Joorabchian is sounding out other possible destinations.

FCInterNews.it report Joorabchian has been in contact with both United and Valencia in recent days, offering his client’s services for a fee between €25million and €30million.

With West Ham also still interested, Joorabchian will also speak to the Hammers once the club have appointed a replacement for David Moyes to discover whether their new man in charge is keen on the Portugal international.

Mario has spoken favourably of his time at the London Stadium but the opportunity to join a club competing in European competitions next term could hamper the Hammers’ interest in his services.
