West Ham United are thought to be keen on signing the Russia international.

The Hammers are believed to be keen admirers of the 28-year-old, with Sky Sports reporting that they were in talks with Krasnodar in January to sign the £12 million-rated ace.

A move to the London Stadium obviously failed to materialise, but it would be no surprise to see the east London outfit go back in for the Russia international during the summer transfer window.
Smolov’s agent added fuel to the fire yesterday, by urging his client to leave his current club Krasnodar, when speaking to Russian media outlet LENTA.RU:

“Fedor, please do not pay attention to these stupid critics. I have already told you, you need to go to Europe. I think you’ll play better in Europe, believe me.”
The 28-year-old has been in superb form since joining Krasnodar in the summer of 2015, scoring 61 goals in 94 appearances, and he possesses all of the attributes requited to be a success in the Premier League.
And after his agent’s comments, England could very well be his next destination, and more specifically, east London.
