West Ham United vice-chairman Karren Brady is not a big fan of the Manchester United manager’s behaviour.
West Ham United Vice Chairman Karren Brady
Hammers co-chairman Karren Brady delivered a stinging criticism of United boss Jose Mourinho after his regular public criticism of his players, when writing her regular column for the Sun.
The Portuguese has been rather outspoken this season with regards to some of his players’ apparent lack of commitment to the cause, singling out Luke Shaw, Phil Jones, and Chris Smiling for what he has perceived as over-cautious approaches to their recoveries from injury.
And Brady drew attention to the United manager’s behaviour, when writing her regular column for the Sun, labelling the former Real Madrid and Chelsea boss as an unusual man:
“Jose Mourinho carries on with his public provocation of certain injured players to whom the right of reply is not really an option. I admire Mourinho and no doubt he knows something about his squad we don’t. But he can’t really believe that Phil Jones, for one, ought to be playing with a broken toe. Perhaps his verbal flagellation will toughen up the less doughty of his band. Even so, it is an unusual way in this most unusual man.”

The 54-year-old has a reputation within the game as someone who wins at all costs, but his man management skills have been called into question on numerous occasions.
He has guided his side to an EFL Cup triumph, a Europa League semi-final and fifth place in the Premier League table, so on the whole United fans must be fairly happy with the progress they have made this term.
Whether some of his players are equally as happy with his tenure though is another matter all together.
