Oxford left West Ham on loan in January to join Augsburg.

Reece Oxford’s agent has told German outlet Fussball Transfers that the West Ham United defender dreams of playing for Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in his career.
The 20-year-old left West Ham United on loan in January to join Bundesliga side Augsburg until the end of the season, the second time he has exited the Hammers to move to Germany.
Last season, the England youth international played for Borussia Monchengladbach on loan and though he managed just eight appearances in all competitions – he had a lasting effect in German football.
It saw Augsburg bring him back to Germany in January, despite failing to make a single senior appearance for the Hammers this season. Oxford’s agent, Aidy Ward, stated he wants to follow Owen Hargreaves and play for Bayern Munich.
“Reece is a big fan of Owen Hargreaves. He always thought it would be great to play for a club like Bayern one day,” Ward said.

Germany is becoming the breeding ground for young English talent. The likes of Jadon Sancho, Reiss Nelson and Emile Smith-Rowe are currently impressing in the Bundesliga. Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi also came close to a Bayern move.
Oxford has played twice since his move to Augsburg and is likely to be heavily involved for the German side until the end of the season. It remains to be seen where his future lies beyond the summer.
Bayern are struggling under the guidance of Niko Kovac this season, sitting in third place and seven points behind leaders Borussia Dortmund – where Sancho is shining.
