West Ham United have improved of late, after an abysmal start to their 2016/17 campaign.
During an exclusive interview with the club’s official website, Hammers left-back Aaron Cresswell shared his hope that his side can build on their recent home wins against Sunderland and Chelsea, and turn the Olympic Stadium into a fortress.
The 26-year-old has been with West Ham for two years, after making his £3.75 million move from Ipswich Town, and has established himself as both a fan favourite and Slaven Bilic’s first choice left back.
The East London outfit struggled to adapt to life in their new home, and the team’s unfamiliarity with their surroundings was a major contributing factor to their poor run of form.

Cresswell, who has only recently returned from a lengthily spell on the sidelines, spoke to whufc.com and outlined how the Hammers need to make their new home a fortress:
“We only got beat at home three times in the Premier League last season and went seven months unbeaten. We want to do the same thing at London Stadium and make it a fortress. We want to take three points every time we play there.”

Bilic’s men face a crucial home game against Stoke City in the Premier League tomorrow, before they embark on a horror run of fixtures that includes trips to Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United and Liverpool, before they welcome Arsenal to their new stadium.
Nothing less than three points will do for West Ham against the Potters, as they look to give themselves a little breathing space from those below them in the table.
