Arnautovic came close to leaving West Ham in the January window.

Marko Arnautovic has told Austrian outlet Krone that he is focused on playing for West Ham United following his failed move to the Chinese Super League in the January transfer window.
Arnautovic, 29, was linked with a big-money move to Guangzhou Evergrande but the Chinese side failed to meet West Ham’s £45million valuation and a move fell through. Arnautovic would have earned £280,000 a week, according to the Mail.
Instead, he has had to apologise to West Ham fans after admitting through his agent – and brother – that he wanted to move to China. Fans compared the situation to that of Dimitri Payet.
Asked about his move to China, Arnautovic blamed the media for causing a frenzy and stated that he is focused on playing for the Hammers. It remains to be seen where his future lies ahead of the summer window.
“I think it’s really blatant, what a media attention that has caused,” Arnautovic said. “Otherwise, I do not want to say much about it anymore. I’m a West Ham United player and I do my utmost to be successful with my team. “

Arnautovic jumped on to the radar of Evergrande after scoring eight goals in 20 appearances this season. Former Spurs star Paulinho, playmaker Talisca and ex-Everton defender Tyias Browning all play for Fabio Cannavaro’s side.
Instead, Arnautovic is set to feature for the Hammers against Fulham on Friday night at the London Stadium in the Premier League, in a match the east Londoners will be expecting to win.
