Hammers star Aaron Cresswell spoke to reporters after his side’s superb 1-0 victory over Spurs on Friday night, and opened up on a moment he shared with two of his teammates which made him realise just how important the victory was, as quoted by the club’s official website.
West Ham have managed to salvage their season in recent weeks, going on a five game unbeaten run, and displaying a defensive solidarity that they have been desperately bereft of for most of the season, conceding just two goals during that period.
Cresswell himself has struggled this season, but has returned to somewhere near his best recently, once again displaying the kind of form that saw him championed for an England call-up last term.
The 27-year-old was at his very best against the Lilywhites on Friday, and he spoke to reporters about a wonderful moment he shared with Mark Noble, James Collins and the loyal Hammers fanbase after the game , as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“It’s a massive win and I’m sure he fans will have enjoyed it. It’s happy days for everyone – three points. The game finished and I was over the far side with Nobes and Ginge and you’re looking at the crowd, seeing how happy they are and singing and dancing after the game, and that’s what you live for as footballers.”
The West Ham supporters are renowned for being a passionate bunch, and more often than not this season they have let their feelings be known to Slaven Bilic’s side of underperforming stars.
Their pride in their team has been restored in recent weeks, however, with the victory over Tottenham making up for a most of the disappointment they have had to endure so far this term.
