The West Ham United ace is flourishing under the Chilean’s attacking setup.
West Ham ace Felipe Anderson spoke exclusively to Football.London about his start to life in England, and hinted that Manuel Pellegrini isn’t big on tactics.
Despite a slow start to life with the Hammers, the 25-year-old has really impressed at the London Stadium, and has already racked up an impressive six Premier League goals for the club.
Anderson seems to typify everything that his manager is about, and has thrilled West Ham fans up and down the country this season.
He did seem to hint that the Chilean is not big on tactics, however.
The Brazilian spoke exclusively to Football.London, and suggested that he experienced far more tactical analysis during his time with Lazio than he does in England:
“The Premier League is the best in the world. It is more open, you have more chance to run, always orientated to towards attack. Serie A is different you have to study a lot of tactics, organisation so in the Premier League there is more possibility to attack no matter what the score.”
Next up for West Ham is a trip to Fulham on Saturday, and Anderson will be hoping to guide his side to a fourth consecutive win – something that they haven’t done since March 2016.
If the Hammers do win at the weekend, they can climb as high as seventh in the table, and that would be a really impressive comeback from Pellegrini’s men, considering the fact that they lost their first four games.
