West Ham United have a great opportunity to string together a run of victories over Christmas and the new year.

During an interview with the club’s official website, Hammers goalkeeper Darren Randolph explained why his side are so confident as they head into the festive period.

West Ham’s season has finally started to gain momentum, with Slaven Bilic’s men taking seven points from their last three Premier League outings, and subsequently rising to 13th place in the table.

And Randolph, who has made six league appearances for the Hammers this term, spoke to whufc.com about his side’s recent improvement, highlighting their three game unbeaten run as a reason why they are in good spirits heading into the busy Christmas period:

“I think quite a bit of pressure has been taken off us. We had a tough run of games in December but now we are looking at the games going forward. We will take even more confidence from the seven points we have picked up. We are very happy with how the week has gone getting a point at Anfield and then two home wins. We have moved up the table quite a few place and everyone seems a lot happier than they were seven days ago.”

Bilic’s men face a run of fixtures over the next two weeks which will be very much winnable, if they turn up and play to their full potential – something that has been a complete rarity so far this term.

Back-to-back away matches against Swansea City and Leicester City are followed by a home game against Manchester United on January 2nd, and another seven point return form those fixtures will set West Ham up perfectly for the second half of the season.
