The West Ham man played more crosses and accurate cross than any other player in the Premier League.
West Ham star Dimitri Payet topped a surprising statistic in the Premier League this past season, as he managed more accurate crosses that any other player.
Payet, a summer signing from Marseille, proved to be a superb capture by West Ham as he put on a number of impressive displays across the year.
He quickly became a creative force for the Hammers, both creating and scoring goals freely as he quickly became the star man at Upton Park.
He finished the season with 12 assists to his name, the third highest tally in the division, while his nine goals were not to be sniffed at either.
| Team | Season | Total Cross | Accurate Cross | Appearances | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dimitri Payet | West Ham | 2015-2016 | 290 | 95 | 30 |
| Marc Albrighton | Leicester | 2015-2016 | 272 | 52 | 38 |
| Robbie Brady | Norwich | 2015-2016 | 243 | 60 | 36 |
| Mesut Özil | Arsenal | 2015-2016 | 228 | 93 | 35 |
He may not have topped the charts in either of those regards, but he did dominate another, and that was when it came to crossing.
He managed 290 in total across the season, 18 more than Leicester City’s and 47 more than Robbie Brady of Norwich City.
Exactly half of those proved to be accurate ones, as he topped that chart with a tally of 95, two more than Arsenal star Mesut Ozil and 35 ahead of Brady.
A superb return from Payet then, who will be hoping he can dominate other areas in a similar manner next season.
