West Ham United have shown signs of improvement in recent weeks.

West Ham youngster Declan Rice spoke exclusively to the club’s official website today, and highlighted how stressful it was playing against Burnley on Saturday – a game that Manuel Pellegrini’s side ended up earning a valuable three points in.
The Hammers have made an inconsistent start to their 2018/19 Premier League campaign, and currently sit in 13th spot in the table, having taken just 11 points from their opening 11 league outings.
Rice himself has been exceptional this season, and has arguably been West Ham’s most impressive performer under Pellegrini thus far.
The 19-year-old spoke to reporters about his side’s recent win over Burnley, and admitted that it was extremely stressful playing against the Clarets, as quoted by the club’s official website:

“We played well at Brighton and against Spurs, but on Saturday the main thing was we got the three points and put in a really good performance. It was enjoyable to play in, but it was stressful! We went 1-0 up, then they equalised on the stroke of half-time, then we went 2-1 up and thought we were on the way. Their game, what they’re really effective at is putting balls into the box and winning headers, and they did that to make it 2-2, so we thought ‘here we go’, then we scored another two and heaved a sigh of relief! Now every is buzzing because it was a massive three points.”
Next up for West Ham is a trip to the John Smith’s Stadium to take on Huddersfield Town on Saturday, and Pellegrini’s men will be confident of racking up another important three points against David Wagner’s side.
