The West Ham United striker has been nowhere near his best this season.

West Ham skipper Mark Noble spoke exclusively to the London Evening Standard, and shared how he told his teammate Javier Hernandez recently that he is an example for everyone else at the club to look up to.
The 30-year-old joined the Hammers from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2017, for a fee believed to be worth in the region of £17 million, but he hasn’t quite lived up to high expectations at the London Stadium, scoring just 13 goals in 53 appearances in all competitions.
With Marko Arnautovic only just returning from injury, however, Chicharito will be an important player for Manuel Pellegrini’s side between now and the end of the season.
Noble explained how the Mexico international is an example for the rest of the West Ham squad because of the time he spent at Manchester United and Real Madrid, when speaking exclusively to the London Evening Standard:

“After the Liverpool game, he said to me ‘I’m back on track. We need to find that consistency’. That was nice to hear because, as I said to him the other day ‘Chicharito, you have to understand that you’ve been at Manchester United and Real Madrid. Players here at West Ham look to you, they will follow that example’.”
Next up for West Ham is a trip to Crystal Palace today, and Hernandez will be desperate to end his run of six straight games without a goal.
The Hammers desperately need all three points, and following their great performance against Liverpool on Monday night, there is no reason why they can’t do just that.
