Everton are reportedly keen on Borussia Monchengladbach’s Thorgan Hazard.

According to reports from Calciomercato, Everton are looking to lure Borussia Monchengladbach winger Thorgan Hazard – brother of Chelsea superstar Eden – to Goodison Park in January.
The 25-year-old has been in scintillating form this season, smashing 11 goals and five assists in just 14 appearances for Gladbach, whilst he also grabbed two goals for Belgium in their recent defeat to Switzerland.
With just around 18 months left on his deal, it’s no surprise that Hazard is now attracting interest from clubs, but Everton shouldn’t be the only Premier League club targeting his signature.
In fact, West Ham United should certainly be in the mix for his signature, given their need for additional creativity with both Andriy Yarmolenko and Manuel Lanzini out injured.
A star winger on the left would be ideal, enabling Felipe Anderson to play centrally, and Hazard can bring exactly what West Ham are looking for, with the Hammers potentially having a secret weapon if they attempt to sign Hazard before Everton can.

Sky Sports recently reported that Gladbach want West Ham youngster Reece Oxford back on a permanent basis, and using the teenager in a part-exchange deal for Hazard could be beneficial.
Offering up Oxford could drive the price down for West Ham whilst handing them a real shot at landing a top quality winger, and beating Everton to his signature would be a great way to start 2019 if they can make it happen.
