West Ham United have looked poor defensively this season and should go back to Tottenham Hotspur for a player who looked bound for West Bromwich Albion.
The Hammers have been vulnerable so far in the new Premier League campaign shipping seven goals in their first two games.

His focus will now be on making West Ham harder to beat.
To that end supporters want to see money invested in a new central defender as they feel the club has failed to address the fact the East Londoners had the third worst defensive record in the top flight last season.
Recently Spurs defender Kevin Wimmer suggested to LAOLA1 in his native Austria that he snubbed a move to West Ham as he didn’t want to play at left back for the Hammers.
Wimmer, 24, joined Spurs from German side Koln back in the summer of 2015, but he has been a bit-part player in North London, making just 14 Premier League appearances as he has mostly served as cover for Jan Vertonghen.
He has since been linked with a move to West Brom but fresh reports claim the deal is in the balance with Tony Pulis unsure whether to use a big portion of his transfer budget on the defender.
So with Winston Reid and Angelo Ogbonna injury prone and the hapless Jose Fonte and fans’ favourite James Collins both turning 34 this season should Bilic try again to lure Wimmer.
With Aaron Cresswell back fit Wimmer would only be required to cover in an emergency.
And with Wimmer’s Austria teammate Marko Arnautovic now at the club it could help persuade the defender his future is with Spurs’ London rivals, particularly with Mauricio Pochettino’s impending signing of Davinson Sanchez.
