West Ham United have been linked with two brilliant young strikers so why not sign both?

According to a recent report from Goal.com, West Ham United have put Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi and Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho at the top of their summer wishlist, and if the latter pair really are foolish enough to part company with the talented young strikers, the Hammers should do all they can to get both.
With the players expected to cost between £25million and £30million each, they will not come cheap, but when you consider the wastefulness of recent transfer windows, bringing in sub-par players such as Robert Snodgrass, Jose Fonte and Havard Nordtveit, it is time the West Ham hierarchy put their money where their mouth is and dig dip for players who can actually make a difference.

West Ham have been crying out for fit and firing goal-scorers for quite some time and Batshuayi and Iheanacho could form a strike partnership the envy of many clubs across Europe.
The latter’s versatility means they could both slot into an effective system at West Ham and their arrival would make an immediate statement to the rest of the league.

It would also ensure West Ham take advantage of the foolishness of City and Chelsea, who are simply crazy to even contemplate selling two such talented young forwards.
There will be some West Ham fans who dismiss the suggestion out of hand due to the amount of money it will take to sign both, but football is awash with cash these days and if the Hammers spend it bravely as well as wisely, they could benefit for years to come.
