The problem for Slaven Bilic is that the 26-year-old is the club’s only recognised left-back. With West Ham’s participation in the Europa League this season, they need to strengthen in that area of the pitch, to provide cover for Cresswell to ensure they are fully equipped should he succumb to injury or suspension.
