West Ham United defender Arthur Masuaku is attracting attention from Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea ahead of the summer.
The Sun stressed that Masuaku is happy at the London Stadium. It remains to be seen however, how he will feel about his future if the two top flight heavyweights come calling during the coming months.
If Spurs and Chelsea do make bids and Masuaku makes it clear that he would like to move on, West Ham should seriously consider seeking a swap deal with the Blues – and ask for another of Mauricio Pochettino’s targets to come in from Stamford Bridge.
The Brazilian has been superb since moving to St James’ Park, and his move has certainly been one of the catalysts for the run of form that has taken the Magpies to the brink of safety in the top flight.
With Chelsea keen on Masuaku, it would appear that the Blues are not entirely convinced that Kenedy has done enough to force his way into the first-team plans at his parent club. And that should tempt West Ham to suggest a swap involving the 22-year-old and Masuaku if the latter becomes determined to seek a fresh challenge.
Kenedy is a huge talent and his arrival would surely quash any disappointment that would emerge from losing Masuaku. So if West Ham do receive bids for Masuaku from both Tottenham and Chelsea, surely they should use the opportunity to pull off a superb swap deal and leave Spurs frustrated in the process.
