Leicester City speed machine Ahmed Musa could leave the Foxes in January and West Ham should snap up the Nigerian.
The Leicester Mercury has claimed that speed machine Ahmed Musa could be about to leave Leicester City in the January transfer window, despite joining the Foxes for a huge £16million in July 2016.
The 25-year-old has failed to adapt to life in the Premier League despite joining the 2015-16 champions with huge promise after starring in the Champions League with Russian giants CSKA Moscow.
Riyad Mahrez, Marc Albrighton and Demarai Gray have all been preferred to the Nigeria international this season, leaving Musa to play off scraps as new manager Claude Puel continues to overlook him.
Making 63 appearances for the Super Eagles, Musa seems to be finding more success with his national team after making just one senior appearance for Leicester this season in the Carabao Cup win over Sheffield United.
However, his future at the King Power Stadium is as good as over and that should be enough to convince new West Ham manager David Moyes to throw his hat into the ring and sign Musa.
West Ham are lacking in any kind of pace in the final third, with wingers Michail Antonio known for his power and aerial ability, while Marko Arnautovic prefers the ball at this feet.
An injection of attacking exuberance and an urgency to the tempo is required if Moyes is to steer West Ham clear of relegation, and Musa’s electrifying speed can be the solution.
Moyes is likely to be backed in January, and he could land Musa on the cheap with the former VVV-Venlo ace likely to leave for less than the fee Leicester shelled out on him just under 18 months ago.
Adding Musa to an attack that already boasts the likes of Javier Hernandez, Andy Carroll and Manuel Lanzini would be the final piece in the jigsaw, combining the speed, experience and goals required to survive the drop.
