The Atletico Madrid winger has been linked with a move to West Ham United.
It is clear that West Ham United are attempting to strengthen their squad this month and one player who has been linked with a move to the club is Atletico Madrid’s Nicolas Gaitan.
Capable of playing on either flank, Gaitan is an excellent creative talent and bringing him in would certainly provide West Ham with much more of an attacking threat.
As reported by The Sun, West Ham aren’t the only club chasing Gaitan, with Everton and Southampton also monitoring the situation of the Argentine.
However, West Ham should certainly look to secure a deal for Gaitan if possible as doing so could be hugely beneficial in terms of helping them to preserve their Premier League status.
Gaitan’s excellent technique enables him to burst past opponents and he would certainly help to provide West Ham’s forwards with some much-needed improved service.
West Ham need to invest in other areas of the team, including in defence, but signing Gaitan would certainly represent a significant step in the right direction.
Currently in 15th place in the Premier League table, West Ham are two points clear of the relegation zone.
