The teenager could be the ideal long-term signing for West Ham United.

The last time West Ham United bought a Canadian player, it was Doneil Henry, and the centre-back has been blighted by injury ever since. However that should not prevent the Hammers from taking a very close look at a teenager currently making waves in MLS who could ultimately be a massive hit at the London Stadium.
Alphonso Davies is only 16, but the Vancouver Whitecaps player has already racked up 46 first-team appearances, scoring four goals and providing four assists in the process. He also has three goals in just five senior appearances for his country.

While West Ham already have one brilliant young winger in the form of Nathan Holland, Davies could become equally as effective on the opposite flank, and the Hammers should take a closer look at a player who looks destined for Europe sooner rather than later.
It is easy to get excited about a teenager after a few brief appearances but Davies seems to be the real deal, and West Ham have made a habit in recent years in signing quality teenagers in a bid to build their team of the future.

Toni Martinez, Martin Samuelsen and Domingos Quina are three such examples and in time Davies could be every bit as exciting as that West Ham trio.
Hammers boss Slaven Bilic will be scouting far and wide and it would be a surprise if he was not already aware of the young Canadian who could do what Henry failed to and excel at the London Stadium for years to come.
