The Atletico Madrid right-back would be a useful addition for West Ham United.
West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini will undoubtedly be keen to bolster his ranks at the London Stadium in the summer.
One particular area where the Chilean should be looking to strengthen is his right-back department, with Pablo Zabaleta already on the wrong side of 34-years-old, Ryan Fredericks suffering his fair share of injury problems and Sam Byram having proven that he is clearly not good enough for elite level football.
That may sound harsh, but the Hammers need to be ruthless if they are to make genuine progress over the next few years, and with this in mind, they should consider a summer swoop for Atletico Madrid ace Šime Vrsaljko.
The 27-year-old is currently on loan with Inter Milan, but he hasn’t had the best of times in Italy, and the Serie A giants are hesitant to make his move from Atleti a permanent one in the summer, according to Calcio Mercato.
He would be ideally suited for West Ham, however.
The Croatian is an attacking full-back in every sense, and his ability to get up and down the right hand flank would make him a great asset to the Hammers, both defensively and in the final third.
Vrsaljko can also operate in the right midfield position, so he would provide West Ham boss Pellegrini with a variety of options.
The east London outfit have genuine ambitions of cracking the top six over the next few seasons, and the addition of the Croatia international would be a great place to start.
