West Ham United fans still feel they need a striker in January whilst Sebastien Haller shines in the Netherlands with Ajax.
The Hammers are lacking depth behind Michail Antonio in attack. When he is injured or suspended, West Ham look short of attacking options.
It’s strange that West Ham haven’t signed a striker this year, especially having sold one.
West Ham decided to offload Sebastien Haller in January of this year. Ajax came forward with £20million for Haller, and West Ham took it.
The Ivorian international didn’t live up to his billing at West Ham after a 2019 move from Eintracht Frankfurt.
West Ham will feel they were right to cut their losses, but he is now in superb form for Ajax.
Reunited with his former Utrecht boss Erik ten Hag, Haller has rediscovered his goalscoring touch.
In 11 games this season, Haller has hit 10 goals. He even smashed four in one game against Sporting in the Champions League.

Haller is firing again, and Ten Hag has now spoken about the former West Ham striker.
Speaking to Sport Bild, Ten Hag has suggested that he can’t rule out Haller replacing Erling Haaland at Borussia Dortmund.
Ten Hag did though claim that Haller would now be ‘very expensive’, with Ajax eyeing much, much more cash than the fee they sent to West Ham.
“I don’t know Dortmund’s plans. With Sébastien’s class, I can’t rule out that he might be interesting for BVB,” said Ten Hag. “What I can say: it would be very expensive,” he added.
