West Ham want Sasa Kalajdzic but the striker has reaffirmed his commitment to Stuttgart until something more concrete arrives.

It’s pretty clear that West Ham’s top priority now is a new striker as David Moyes seeks additional competition for Michail Antonio.

Armando Broja is a top target but West Ham are left waiting for Chelsea to decide just what they want to do with the Albanian ace.

Sassuolo hitman Gianluca Scamacca has also been heavily linked in the last 24 hours with West Ham ramping up their striker chase.

West Ham want Sasa Kalajdzic

Another name in the mix is Stuttgart giant Kalajdzic, who stands at an enormous 6ft 7in tall.

The Austrian is a gangly target man who bagged six goals in 15 games for Stuttgart last season, missing a chunk of the campaign due to injury.

Kalajdzic racked up 16 goals in 2020-21 season too, showing his goalscoring prowess.

Stuttgart only narrowly escaped relegation this past season and Kalajdzic may be on the move.

Sky Germany claimed on Monday night that West Hama are one of four Premier League clubs seeking to sign Kalajdzic this summer.

Brighton and Hove Albion, Manchester United and Southampton are also understood to be chasing Kalajdzic’s signature.

In an ironic twist of fate too, Ajax want to sign Kalajdzic as a replacement for Sebastien Haller – the striker West Ham sold in 2021 and are still seeking to replace.

Kalajdzic would allegedly prefer a move to Manchester United but West Ham may have hope of bringing him to East London.

Kalajdzic has now spoken to Kicker about his future and he seems very relaxed about all the rumours surrounding him.

The striker suggested that his agent knows the deal at the moment; that he will train hard and focus completely on Stuttgart until he is told different.

“My advisor knows what the exact status is,” said Kalajdzic. “I’m here, I’m training hard and I’ll push everyone, myself included, to win every game to get the best out of it.”

“My focus is on VfB. My thoughts don’t wander,” he added.

Stuttgart fans will love that Kalajdzic is publicly stating his commitment to the club but if concrete Premier League offers arrive, he will surely be on his way out – and West Ham are a very appealing destination.
