West Ham could sell Said Benrahma as David Moyes looks to clear room for free agent Jesse Lingard to make a return to East London.
The Hammers are yet to really make a move in this summer’s transfer window but David Moyes will absolutely want new recruits.
West Ham had another positive season but its ending will leave Moyes keen on signings.
Missing out on the top six and losing in the Europa League semi-finals meant West Ham’s season finished with disappointment.
There will be changes at West Ham this summer and one of them could be for Benrahma to move on.
West Ham could sell Said Benrahma
The Guardian report that West Ham are now willing to sell Benrahma as Moyes looks to bring Jesse Lingard back to East London.
It’s stated that Benrahma’s inconsistency has frustrated boss Moyes and he could simply cash in on the Algerian this summer.
Moyes wants to really push towards the top six and believes that Benrahma’s inability to influence big games is holding West Ham back a little.
West Ham paid £30million for Benrahma last season and just how much they will get back.
Benrahma did notch eight goals and six assists last season and was hailed as ‘fabulous’ by Owen Hargreaves.
The up-and-down nature of his form is the problem though and West Ham are now ready to sell the former Brentford star this summer.

West Ham would of course want to replace Benrahma though and Moyes is ready to ramp up his interest in Jesse Lingard.
Lingard is available on a free transfer this summer with his Manchester United contract coming to an end.
The 29-year-old struggled for playing time at United this past season despite his form on loan at West Ham in 2021.
Lingard racked up nine goals and four assists in 16 appearances for West Ham, recapturing his best form under Moyes.
The hope now is that Lingard will return to West Ham permanently, potentially replacing Benrahma in the Hammers side.
