West Ham United are reportedly ready to sell Sam Byram and Edimilson Fernandes among others.

Much was expected of Sam Byram when he left Leeds United for West Ham United in January 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Independent to be worth £3.7 million, especially as the Hammers reportedly had to beat off competition from Premier League rivals Everton, but the former Elland Road fan favourite has struggled to make a huge impact at the London Stadium so far.
True, there have been injury concerns, but when Byram, who can operate as a right-back or as a right-winger, has played, he has not been exactly great.
According to The Times, West Ham are willing to listen to offers for the 24-year-old – who played over a 100 matches for Leeds, but managed just 247 minutes of the Premier League football for the Hammers this past season.

The report has also claimed that West Ham are willing to sell 22-year-old Switzerland international midfielder Edimilson Fernandes, who joined the London club from FC Sion in the summer of 2016 for a transfer fee reported by The Daily Mail to be worth £5.5m.
The report in The Times has also included strikers Jordan Hugill and Andy Carroll among the list of players West Ham are willing to sell in order to boost their transfer kitty.

Surprise or no surprise?
While it does not come as a surprise that West Ham are (reportedly) willing to sell Byram, it would shock a few fans that the club are willing to ready to part company with Fernandes, who is just 22 years of age and is hugely talented.
Hugill was always going to be a contingency plan should West Ham got relegated to the Championship, while Carroll’s injury record means that the Hammers cannot rely on him to be their main striker on a regular basis.
