West Ham United are getting ready to make a deadline day move for Fernando Llorente, according to the Daily Mail, with Tottenham Hotspur having made the striker available for transfer.
Llorente can leave North London permanently, for around £7m, or on loan having failed to impress manager Mauricio Pochettino after being signed from Swansea City last summer.

Yet with Tottenham still having not completed a single incoming transfer this window – the only Premier League club not to have done so – are they really in a position to let another player go?
Harry Kane is clearly first choice for the role of number nine, but behind him Pochettino currently has Llorente and Vincent Janssen; who like his Spanish counterpart was considered a flop during his one season in the Spurs first team in 2016/17.
Janssen was sent on loan to Fenerbahce last term and although with his parent club at the moment, the Evening Standard recently reported the North Londoners are “desperate” to sell the forward.
While the English window closes at 5pm tonight (August 9) sides in England can still sell players to foreign teams until their window shuts – which for most European leagues is August 31.
So Janssen could still be on his way, but can Tottenham really afford to lose the Dutchman and Llorente when there is no viable backup for Kane to replace them?
