Reports state that West Ham United have raised their offer for Carlos Bacca.
According to reports from Calcio Mercato, West Ham United have improved their offer for AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca.
West Ham United are desperately looking to add a high profile striker to their ranks this summer and Carlos Bacca has been widely reported as the main target for the Hammers.
The London side were believed to have had a £25 million offer for Bacca accepted (The Guardian) but as Arsenal also joined in the race recently (London Evening Standard), the striker has been stalling over the decision regarding his future destination.
West Ham co-chairman David Sullivan went on to admit to the Daily Mirror that Bacca is currently assessing all his options and the admission was interpreted as the Hammers conceding defeat in the race to sign the Colombian international.
However according to reports from Calcio Mercato, West Ham have not yet given up on their hopes of signing Bacca and in an attempt to lure the 29-year-old to the Olympic Stadium, the Premier League side have offered him an improved wage package of around £3.4 million-per year.
Peculiarly, the Hammers have also raised their bid for Bacca from £25 million to £26.7 million and they are now hopeful that the improved offers will help them finally land the coveted attacker.
