
West Ham United are interested in signing Ozan Kabak in the January transfer window, according to Sport1, but they are going to face competition from Tottenham Hotspur.
Earlier this month, Sky Germany claimed of interest in Schalke defender Kabak from Tottenham and Liverpool, as covered by HITC Sport.
It was reported that Liverpool are keen on the central defender, while Tottenham have also shown an interest in the Turkey international.
West Ham have now joined Spurs and Liverpool in the race for the 20-year-old, with Sport1 claiming that the Hammers are looking to secure his services this month.
The report has claimed that Schalke are looking for €15 million (£13.5 million) as transfer fee for the youngster.
Ozan Kabak to West Ham United in January?
Kabak is a very talented and promising young defender, and reported interest from Tottenham and Liverpool in him shows just how highly rated he is.
The youngster would be a very good long-term signing for the Hammers, although it remains to be seen if they would be able to beat Tottenham and Liverpool to his signature.
Liverpool are the defending Premier League champions and regularly play in the Champions League, while Spurs could be back in Europe’s premier club competition next season and are in the race for the league title this campaign.
According to WhoScored, Kabak has played nine times in the Bundesliga this season and made 21 starts and six substitute appearances in the league 2019-20.
