West Ham United and Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden in the summer transfer window.

The Mirror reportedly last month that West Ham United are interested in signing Phil Foden from Premier League rivals Manchester City, but the London club now seem to be facing competition from Spanish and European gains Barcelona.
According to a report in The Mirror last month, West Ham could make an enquiry regarding the availability of Foden on a loan deal, with former City manager Manuel Pellegrini now in charge of the Hammers.

Don Balon has now claimed that Barcelona are interested in signing Foden from City in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that the Spanish powerhouse are willing to pay a transfer fee of €20 million (£17.59m) for the 18-year-old midfielder.

Disappointment for West Ham United?
Foden is a very talented and promising young midfielder, and it is clear that the England Under-19 international has a bright future ahead of him.
It is unlikely that City will sell the teenager this summer, especially as they are planning to hand him a new contract, as reported by The Telegraph.
However, Foden could do with some valuable playing time in a competitive environment, and perhaps City manager Pep Guardiola could be convinced to send him out on loan to West Ham next season.
