Joe Hart of West Ham United looks dejected following the Premier League match between Arsenal and West Ham United at Emirates Stadium on April 22, 2018 in London, England.

West Ham United will not sign Joe Hart on a permanent contract from Manchester City in the summer transfer window, according to The Mirror.

It has been reported that Hart will return to City when his loan spell at West Ham ends at the end of the season.

The Hammers have reportedly decided against taking the option to make the England international’s loan deal permanent.

Hart joined West Ham on a season-long loan deal from City in the summer transfer window.

Much was expected of the 31-year-old goalkeeper when he arrived at the London Stadium in the summer of 2017, but the former Shrewsbury Town star has made a number of mistakes over the course of the season.

A reflection can be seen of Joe Hart of West Ham United during the Premier League match between Chelsea and West Ham United at Stamford Bridge on April 8, 2018 in London, England.

Adrian is a very good goalkeeper, and if West Ham are looking to provide him with stiff competition, then they should look at bringing someone else in, as Hart, who is valued at €7.6 million (£6.7m) by CIES Football Observatory, has proved to be injury-prone and cannot be relied upon on a consistent basis.
