West Ham United are reportedly ‘progressing in discussions’ to bring in another signing to East London this summer.
Under Julen Lopetegui, who replaced David Moyes at West Ham United this summer, the Hammers have been busy in the transfer market.
West Ham have signed Jean-Clair Todibo from under the noses of Juventus and the Hammers have also signed Aaron Wan Bissaka from Manchester United for just £15 million.
In total, the Hammers have made eight new additions to their squad this summer and, if reports are to be believed, West Ham could be closing in on their ninth signing of the transfer window.

West Ham ‘progressing’ in talks for Carlos Soler
Guido Rodriguez and Luis Guilherme are two new additions to the midfield department but if reports are to be believed the Hammers are not done there.
According to a report from French outlet L’Equipe, West Ham are accelerating in talks to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Carlos Soler this summer.
Real Sociedad are reportedly another side who are keen but the La Liga side needs to make sales in their squad this summer for a deal to happen.
Arsenal are progressing in talks with Mikel Merino to sign the midfielder from Real Sociedad and this could free up funds.
However, whilst the deal is not completed, the Hammers have every chance to complete the signing of the Spanish midfielder.
The Hammers, it is mentioned, are ‘discussing the details’ of the move with PSG, who want around €20 million (£17 million) for the Spaniard.
Another French outlet in Foot Mercato also reports on Soler’s situation, saying that whilst there’s no agreement, ‘discussions are progressing well’, and a loan with a compulsory purchase option could be the solution.
‘Complete footballer’ Carlos Soler could be brilliant for West Ham
Last season for PSG, Soler made 24 Ligue 1 appearances scoring three goals and providing two assists for his teammates.
Former Valencia ace Curro Torres hailed Soler as a ‘complete footballer’ when talking to Batzine.net and, according to FBREF, one of the most similar players to the Spaniard is Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard.
As well as this, Soler excels in pass completion rate, progressive passes made and progressive passes received, which suggests the Spaniard plays his best football between the lines, very much like Odegaard.
If West Ham did get a deal done for just £15 million, it could be one of the bargains of the window so far.
