Isaac Success is reportedly free to leave Watford and West Ham could reignite previous interest.

Watford speed machine Isaac Success is reportedly free to leave Marco Silva’s side and West Ham United should reignite reported interest from the summer and sign the Hornets’ number 10 to boost their chances of avoiding relegation.

The Daily Mirror claimed in their transfer news blog on Wednesday (21:47) that Success was free to leave Vicarage Road in the January transfer window, along with target man Stefano Okaka as Silva wields the axe in Hertfordshire.

AllNigeriaSoccer claimed in an exclusive that a representative of Success had informed them that West Ham were interested in signing Success throughout the summer, but a move failed to materialise.

The 21-year-old has been given a rough ride at Vicarage Road since joining the club from Spanish La Liga outfit Granada in the summer of 2016 for a fee believed to be worth £12.5million.

However, the one-time Nigeria international managed just two starts for the club last season in 19 games, and this time around has appeared only once in the Carabao Cup against Bristol City.

West Ham are in desperate need of a spark from somewhere to save their season as they stare relegation in the face. The arrival of manager David Moyes has failed to steady the tide, picking up just one point from a possible 12.

Michail Antonio’s injury problems continue to frustrate Hammers fans, while Marko Arnautovic is a shadow of his former self that shone at Stoke City. Diafra Sakho is expected to leave, while Moyes has been forced to play Arthur Masuaku on the wing instead of left-back due to a lack of options out wide.

Adding Success, who has hardly been given the chance to prove himself in the Premier League, would give the Hammers an attacking tenacity currently lacking from their squad.

Goals, tricks, speed and an unpredictability to his game, Success would be the perfect cut-price signing at the London Stadium if Moyes looks to land the Watford ace in January.
