Aaron Cresswell reportedly wants to leave West Ham United for Wolverhampton Wanderers this summer.

According to The Sun (print edition, page 59, July 30, 2023), Wolverhampton Wanderers are interested in signing Aaron Cresswell from Premier League rivals West Ham United in the summer transfer window.

The report in the British tabloid has claimed that Wolves have made a bid of £2 million for Cresswell.

West Ham have rejected it.

The Hammers reportedly want more money for the 33-year-old left-back.

According to the report, Cresswell himself wants to leave West Ham for Wolves this summer and has made a plea to Hammers chairman David Sullivan to accept the offer from the Wanderers.

West Ham United should let Aaron Cresswell leave for Wolverhampton Wanderers

In our opinion, if Aaron Cresswell wants to leave for Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer transfer window, then West Ham United should just let him go.

There is no point in the Hammers keeping a player against his will, especially one who is 33.

Although a transfer fee of £2 million is quite low for a player of Cresswell’s quality and ability, he has been at West Ham since 2014 and that should count for something.

West Ham have got the best years of Cresswell, and to reward the left-back for his loyalty and impressive performances, they should grant him his wish and let him move to Wolves this summer.

Cresswell made 24 starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Hammers last season.

The left-back gave one assist in those games.

Cresswell has made 283 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The defender has scored 10 goals, given 30 assists and kept 63 clean sheets in those matches.
