West Ham United right-back Vladimir Coufal has expressed his delight on Twitter at Slavia Prague’s win against Steven Gerrard’s Rangers at Ibrox.
Rangers suffered a 2-0 defeat to Slavia at Ibrox in the second leg of the Europa League Round 16 tie at Ibrox on Thursday evening.
The result meant that Steven Gerrard’s side went out of the competition 3-1 on aggregate.
Coufal joined West Ham from Slavia in the summer of 2020, and the Czech Republic international has revelled in the win for his former club.
When translated from Czech, the 28-year-old’s tweet reads: “Who will be next? @slaviaofficial Congratulations guys … you got them beautifully.”
Disappointment for Rangers
Rangers drew the first leg 1-1, and the Gers must have been confident of getting the job done in the second leg at Ibrox.

However, the Gers could not step up their game, and there can be no doubt that Slavia were the better team in the second leg at Ibrox.
While Rangers will be disappointed, one must not forget that they have already won the Scottish Premiership title and did well to reach as far as the Europa League Round of 16.
It has been a very successful season for Rangers, and fans should be very pleased.
