Tomas Soucek has told West Ham United’s official website that Manuel Lanzini is a lethal finisher in training.
Lanzini scored his first goal of the season for West Ham at the weekend, as they came back from 3-0 down against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Argentine let rip from range in the last minute, and saw the ball fly into the top corner of the net.
The strike took almost everyone watching by surprise, but Soucek says he knew just who dangerous Lanzini’s shooting can be.
“For me it was incredible as well,” Souček said. “I believed in him because I know how he can score, how he can strike the ball, attack the goal.
“Every day in training he’s shooting very well. When he had prepared the ball, I believed that he would score – and we could see what a celebration it was.

“When the ball was flying high into the net, I celebrated and all the bench celebrated. All the team celebrated and everyone ran to the corner. It was a draw and I think we deserved a point – maybe more!”
Lanzini has actually dropped out of West Ham’s starting line-up in recent weeks, but his goal was a reminder of the quality that he possesses.
The playmaker is still a huge asset for the Hammers, and his latest goal may just be the confidence boost he needed to get back to his very best.
West Ham are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Manchester City in what looks to be another tough fixture.
