‘West Ham player all day’: Some Villa fans react to reported interest in attacker

Aston Villa fans on Twitter fear they will miss out on signing Eberechi Eze to London clubs, namely West Ham United.

The Guardian has claimed that Aston Villa are keen on the QPR midfielder, but it’s West Ham and David Moyes who are determined to win the race for the £20 million attacker.

Before lockdown, both Villa and West Ham were in danger of dropping down to the Championship, but both did enough to remain in England’s top-flight following Sunday’s conclusion.

Eze has been working his magic in the Championship for a number of seasons now and it seems the 22-year-old may now be heading to the Premier League, it’s just a case of where.

The Villa Park faithful want him playing in the Midlands next season, but they aren’t getting their hopes up yet as the transfer rumour mill begins to put its foot on the accelerator.

Dean Smith needs to add attacking players to his squad ahead of the new season in September after relying too heavily on star man Jack Grealish.

And if Villa were to lose their academy product during this window then someone like Eze would be the ideal replacement for the playmaker.
