West Ham United star Manuel Lanzini has been linked with a move to Liverpool as a replacement for Philippe Coutinho.

West Ham have turned a corner under David Moyes are have climbed to midtable after a torrid first half of the season while the sky seems to be the limit for Jurgen Klopp’s exciting Liverpool team.
Liverpool sold Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona for an eye-watering £145million last week.
And that has seen the Anfield giants renew interest in West Ham and Argentina playmaker Manuel Lanzini, as reported by the likes of the Daily Star.
The former River Plate star was in fine form at the weekend, playing a key role in West Ham’s superb 4-1 win away at Huddersfield scoring two goals and posing a threat throughout.

A hero to Hammers fans, Lanzini would be a huge loss to the East Londoners.
But Liverpool have the Coutinho money burning a hole in his pocket and are in the Champions League last 16, for which Lanzini is not cup-tied, and look likely to make the Champions League again next season.
Now former Hammers player and boss Alan Curbishley has told Sky Sports he believes Lanzini would be the perfect replacement for his fellow South American on Merseyside.

“That’s an interesting one because I think he’s got a lot of attributes that I think Coutinho has and he plays in that number 10 role, he can play anywhere in midfield and up top, wide positions as well,” Curbishley told Sky Sports’ Premier League review.
“He sees the pass, he makes a goal and he scores a goal… so yes I think that if Liverpool are looking at a replacement – I don’t think the West Ham fans want to hear this, or the owners – but he’s one that they should be looking at because he opens up defences with that final ball.”
