West Ham have made their decisions on the futures of their latest batch of scholars.
West Ham United are renowned for giving young players opportunities to impress in the first-team and the club have offered scholarships to a fresh batch of prospects ahead of next season.
As reported by the club’s official website, nine youngsters have been given scholarship contracts, including centre-back Josh Okotcha, who has already featured in the Premier League International Cup this season.
Harrison Ashby, who is capable of playing as a full-back or at centre-back, has also been kept on, along with the highly-regarded Will Greenidge, who operates in the same positions.
Other players who will be hoping to eventually make the breakthrough into the West Ham first-team include Samuel Caiger, who can play as a full-back or a central-midfielder, and Lennon Peake, who operates as a winger.
West Ham will also hope that midfielder Keenan Appiah-Forson will develop into a player who is capable of making an impact in the Premier League, with another midfielder, Jake Giddings, also being given a scholarship deal.
The intake is completed by centre-back Samuel Nsumbu and midfielder Daniel Chesters.
This season has seen prospects including Declan Rice and Domingos Quina feature for the West Ham first-team.
