David Moyes’s West Ham United could be a potential destination for Olivier Giroud, a player Arsenal sold to Chelsea for £18 million.

That’s according to The Sun, who have reported that Giroud could return to London at the end of the season, having played for Arsenal and Chelsea.

The report in the British tabloid has claimed that the 36-year-old is out of contract at AC Milan at the end of the season and is open to a move back to the Premier League – to a club in London.

West Ham, Fulham, Crystal Palace and Brentford are the clubs mentioned in the report as ‘potential destinations’.

Giroud is 36 now, but he is going as strong as ever.

The AC Milan no. 9 has scored seven goals and provided four assists in 16 Serie A starts so far this season.

Giroud has also scored four goals and provided two assists in seven UEFA Champions League games for the Rossoneri so far this campaign.

And let us not forget that the former Arsenal and Chelsea star played at the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

Giroud was on the books of Arsenal from the summer of 2012 until January 2018 when he moved to London and Premier League rivals Chelsea.

Chelsea paid the Gunners £18 million in transfer fees for the striker (BBC Sport), who won the Ligue 1 title with Montpellier in 2011-12.

During his time at Arsenal, Giroud scored 105 goals in 253 games, and won the FA Cup three times.

The veteran striker won the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League and the FA Cup once each with Chelsea.

Giroud helped Milan to the Serie A title last season.

Jack Wilshere played with Giroud at Arsenal, and the Englishman described the striker as “underrated” in The Sun in December 2022.
