West Ham United are close to agreeing a deal with Torino over the sale of Nikola Vlasic.

That is according to Calciomercato.it.

The Italian outlet claims that an agreement between West Ham and Torino is not far away, a development that is likely to delight Nikola Vlasic.

The attacking midfielder, who spent last season out on loan at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, has made it clear that he is not happy with his situation under David Moyes.

“I’m fed up with this dead-end situation,” he recently told Tuttosport. “We all know that I’m not considered an important player here. I’m just one of many in the reserve group.”

Nikola Vlasic signing baffling

West Ham spent quite a bit of money on Vlasic, bringing him in for over £30m in total a couple of years ago.

However, it feels like the former CSKA Moscow man has not been given too many chances at the London Stadium.

He made just 19 Premier League appearances in his debut campaign before joining Torino on loan.

If Moyes is looking for another attacking midfielder this summer, it may be worth keeping Vlasic and giving him another chance after spending £30m-plus to acquire his services.

However, it is clear that the £70,000-a-week Croatia international (Spotrac) is not keen on sticking around, so it appears that he will depart before the transfer window closes.

Outgoings have been the story at West Ham in this transfer window, with the Hammers, of course, selling Declan Rice to London rivals Arsenal. In the next few weeks, though, that needs to change.

Moyes obviously requires at least one new midfielder to replace his former captain, while you suspect West Ham supporters will want to see some more additions on top of that after watching their team really struggle in the Premier League last season.
