West Ham may sell Nikola Vlasic this summer, less than a year after signing him for a considerable fee from Russian club CSKA Moscow.

West Ham missed out on the top four and couldn’t quite make the Europa League final.

This has still been another superb season under David Moyes though, proving that last season was no fluke.

West Ham will be an attractive proposition to many potential signings this summer – but some players may have to go.

Issa Diop, Andriy Yarmolenko and Ryan Fredericks are likely to go whilst it now seems that Vlasic could leave West Ham too.

The Mirror claim that West Ham boss Moyes now fancies signing Watford attacker Emmanuel Dennis.

As part of that plan, West Ham are set to offload Vlasic to raise funds and re-tool Moyes’ attack.

Vlasic’s agent has though indicated that there is no truth in rumours that he wants to return to Russia.

With Yarmolenko set to leave too, it looks like West Ham will be seeking a couple of versatile attacking players.

Vlasic joined West Ham from CSKA Moscow late in August as the Hammers paid £26million rising to more than £33million.

This did feel like a gamble at the time.

Vlasic had already been with a Premier League club before having joined Everton from Hajduk Split back in 2017.

Vlasic barely featured for Everton before being moved on to CSKA.

The Croatian playmaker did turn his career around with CSKA, racking up 33 goals and 21 assists in 108 games.

West Ham were clearly hoping that Vlasic would come back a much improved player for his second Premier League spell; think Kevin De Bruyne or Mohamed Salah.

Unfortunately though, Vlasic has managed just one goal and two assists in 31 games for West Ham.

With just six Premier League starts to his name this season, Vlasic hasn’t made an impact in East London.

West Ham may now be ready to cut their losses and move Vlasic on already this summer in what feels like deja vu after his Everton spell.
