David Moyes has tipped Michail Antonio to break Paolo Di Canio’s West Ham United record.

The ‘frightening’ Englishman joined the Italian at the top of the Irons’ all-time Premier League top scorers list.
Di Canio was joined at the top of the list by the 31-year-old, who scored his 47th goal in the reformed English top flight.
Antonio scored the fourth and final goal as Moyes’ men came from 2-1 down to beat Newcastle United 4-2.
However, the former Nottingham Forest man could have broken the record, but he missed a second-half penalty.
Nevertheless, Antonio has the chance to break the record in a weeks when the Hammers take on Leicester City at the London Stadium.
When talking about the record, Moyes told Football London: “I have no doubt he is going to break it and hoping it will be on Monday night and I hope he goals on to score another 15-20 this season.”
Despite equalling Di Canio’s record, Antonio still needs replacing by West Ham
It is all well and good equalling Di Canio’s record, however, West Ham need to replace Antonio.
The club can ill-afford to rely on the ageing forward for an entire season, especially with Europa League football on the horizon.
During the course of his professional career, the 31-year-old has never scored more than 15 league goals. In a campaign where Moyes’ men will be looking to take on Europe, a potent goal-scorer is needed.
However, Antonio does prove to be a fruitful option off the bench. His pace and strength on the ball will be menacing to any opposition defence late during games.
Meanwhile, one pundit couldn’t believe West Ham didn’t sign this 29-year-old.
