The West Ham United youngster has a bright future ahead of him.
Hammers new-boy Sead Haksabanovic shone for the U23’s last night against Swindon in the Checkatrade Trophy, showcasing his incredible talent in the 7 minutes that he played, and bullishly declared that he is gunning for a place in the first-team this season, as quoted by the club’s official website.
The Montenegro international joined West Ham last week from Swedish outfit Halmstads BK under the weight of heavy expectation, and if last night’s display is anything to go by, he certainly will not disappoint.

The 18-year-old has set his sights far higher than the Checkatrade Trophy, however, and declared how he hopes to nail down a first-team spot in Slaven Bilic’s side this term, as quoted by WHUFC.com:
“I’m just focused on playing well for whatever team I am asked at the moment but yes, a first team spot is of course what I am hoping to achieve and hopefully that will come soon.”
The east London outfit were atrocious during their Premier League opener away at Manchester United on Sunday, so it will be no surprise if Haksabanovic is included in the match day squad picked by Bilic to travel down to Southampton on Saturday.
And maybe then the Hammers fans will get their first glimpse of the talented Montenegrin in the famous claret and blue strip.
