West Ham United reportedly wanted to sign Andreas Pereira in January, and Manchester United could now consider letting him leave on loan.

It was reported by the Sunday People (16/12; page 49) ahead of the January transfer window that Manuel Pellegrini wanted to bring Andreas Pereira to West Ham on loan for the rest of the campaign.
The move would not take place, and Pellegrini would have been forgiven for wondering if the chance to sign Pereira had gone completely with the 23-year-old starting to enjoy more game time at Manchester United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
But it appears that that may not be the case. The Sun is now suggesting that the Red Devils are looking to tie the Brazil international down to a new four-year deal and may promise him a loan spell next season to help sweeten the deal.
The Sun’s report provides no indication as to whether West Ham may still be interested or not. But the Hammers should seriously consider making a move in the summer as they look to build on the promise that they have shown this season.

The Irons have a lot of quality in attacking positions. But there are some areas where Pellegrini should arguably be looking to make improvements over the summer if the Irons want to be kicking on from what looks set to at least be a very respectable mid-table finish.
Pereira has shown glimpses of his ability this season. His performance in the recent win against Southampton, in particular, was outstanding, and he may relish playing on a regular basis alongside some of the attacking options West Ham have.

West Ham are not far away from being a fantastic side. And bagging Pereira on loan would leave Pellegrini with greater funds to target addressing some of the more pressing concerns within his squad.
And with no guarantee that the Belgium-born midfielder will force his way into the picture at Old Trafford in the future, perhaps a loan move could lay the foundations to a much more substantial deal further down the line for West Ham.
