With Britt Assombalonga reportedly lined up as Andre Gray’s replacement at Burnley, West Ham United need to make their move for the speedy forward.
Burnley’s transfer business looks to be hotting up following the sale of defender Michael Keane to Everton on Monday.
After recouping a huge fee on the England international, Sean Dyche’s side moved quickly to spend some of the cash as they made a bid for Britt Assombalonga – according to the Nottingham Post.

While the report reveals that Burnley’s first offer has been rejected by Nottingham Forest, their move for a centre forward should encourage West Ham United that Andre Gray’s situation is about to become clearer.
Gray is a target for the Hammers, according to the Mirror, after failing to agree a new contract at Turf Moor.
And while it has long looked likely that Gray would move this summer, a further approach from Burnley for Assombalonga could set the wheels in motion for their current forward’s departure.
Everton and Newcastle United have also been linked with moves for Gray in the Liverpool Echo, meaning West Ham must move quickly if they are to get their man.
Gray, who netted nine times in the Premier League last season, could boost a blunt Hammers front-line and Burnley would be getting a fine replacement if they can sort a deal of their own for Assombalonga.
