West Ham must look at Olivier Giroud if Chelsea make him available.

West Ham United have had a brilliant transfer window but there’s one thing missing – a striker.

Manuel Pellegrini already has Marko Arnautovic, Javier Hernandez and Andy Carroll in his ranks but those final two don’t inspire much confidence.

Plus, earlier this month it was revealed that Carroll would miss around three months through injury, so another striker definitely should be signed.

And could Pellegrini renew the Irons’ interest in a former Slaven Bilic target?

According to RMC Sport in France, Marseille are negotiating the purchase of Olivier Giroud with Chelsea. Before Hernandez was signed last season, all of the speculation pointed toward Bilic signing the then-Arsenal star and fans of the East London club were delighted with the idea of getting him.

He wound up joining Chelsea for £18 million [Goal.com] in January but West Ham should absolutely try and keep him in London.

This is a World Cup winner and someone with 76 goals in 124 Premier League starts for Arsenal, which is a fine record. Not only that, but a move would reunite him with Jack Wilshere, with whom he had an almost-telepathic understanding with at the Gunners.

Chelsea wouldn’t like to sell to West Ham, but money talks and the Chilean manager should certainly ask the question.
