West Ham United have missed out on midfielder Joan Jordan.

West Ham United may have landed Pablo Fornals earlier this month, but fellow Spanish midfielder Joan Jordan won’t be joining him.
Sky Sports reported two weeks ago that West Ham had made a £13million bid to sign Eibar midfielder Jordan, with Manuel Pellegrini hoping to land him.
Jordan impressed last season as a superb ball-playing midfielder, possessing great technique, passing range, set pieces and even long-range shooting.
However, West Ham have missed out on the 24-year-old, as Sevilla have swooped in to sign Jordan, with Marca claiming they paid €14million (£12.5million).
That leaves West Ham back in the market for a midfielder, and Pellegrini – as well as Mario Husillos – will be moving down the list of targets to find the next midfielder to pursue.
The Daily Star recently noted that West Ham wanted Newcastle United’s Isaac Hayden as well as Jordan, and having missed out on the Spaniard, the focus may now shift to Hayden.

He’s keen to leave Newcastle for a move back down south this summer, and West Ham can certainly offer him that, and whilst he isn’t quite as technically gifted as Jordan, he does bring Premier League experience.
Hayden adapted himself from a pure holding midfielder into a player who can get from box to box, and that may be hugely appealing to Pellegrini, bringing real versatility to the Hammers setup – and having missed out on Jordan, there’s money to spend on the Englishman, whilst Rafael Benitez’s exit means this may be a good time to try and push for a deal.
