Manchester United star has failed to kick on this season.
Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford in action
Earlier this season West Ham were linked with a surprise move for Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford by The Telegraph.
The story was easily derided at the time, typical West Ham trying to sign a striker they have no chance of signing.
Perhaps that has since changed?
Rashford has had a very disappointing season in front of goal since his breakthrough campaign a year ago.

He has not played terribly, but he has not shown that he is ready to lead the line when called upon, for a team which have title ambitions.
Manchester United have wrecked their season with draws at Old Trafford against Burnley, West Brom, Hull, Everton, Stoke and West Ham, games they could have won with a clinical forward in their midst.
Jose Mourinho lamented the absence of Javier Hernandez, sold by the club under Louis van Gaal, a hint he is unhappy with the players at his disposal.
United are expected to have a further transfer shake up this summer, and fixing their ponderous attack has to be a priority.
West Ham might fancy their chances more of signing Rashford this time, even on a season long loan, if Mourinho brings in another striker or two.
Rashford needs games. He has played enough early on in his career to realise that he can’t waste a season sitting on the bench.
